Imagine a country where only 8 children out of 100 have the opportunity to attend high school, where only 5 out of every 100 people have paying jobs, where life expectancy is 36 years, and declining.
You're not imagining --- you're picturing Zambia,
a landlocked country in South Central Africa!
The good news is Zambia's Scholarship Fund is making a difference. Zambia's Scholarship Fund is a relief program dedicated to giving the people of Zambia a better life through education. In just six years, we have helped over 350 college students, 440 high school students, and provided 63 teachers with a paying job. Our organization is unique among Third World Relief Programs in three important ways.
- The poorest of the poor. The fund helps people in the world’s poorest, most desperate place. Zambia has the lowest per capita income of any country in the world.
- The best solution. Many programs aim at the symptoms of poverty. We offer a helping hand through education, so that they may lift themselves out of extreme poverty. Education is the “cure” Zambians desire most of all.
- 100% of donations go to the Zambian people. The fund is entirely volunteer-based, volunteers pay out of pocket for advertizing costs. We are committed to this principle.
The people of Zambia are waiting for your help! We invite you to explore our website and learn about ways you can make a difference that will last a lifetime.
