Ever since it's beginning, the Zambia's Scholarship Fund has been approved by the IRS as a non-profit organization (official charity). This means that all of your donations are tax deductible. You can click on View to see the most recent document giving our tax ID number and showing the official name change from Zambia's Veronica Chipendo Scholarship Fund to simply the Zambia's Scholarship Fund.

CFC Code - view PDF   The Combined Federal Campaign

The Zambia's Scholarship Fund is excited to be a part of the CFC.
The CFC or the Combined Federal Campaign can be found at  www.opm.gov/CFC
(when you get to the main page you click on charities and then you go to national and international charity's lists and then look at the alphabetical list or go directly to it the list by clicking this: www.opm.gov/cfc/08lists/index.asp
The CFC's whole purpose is to assure you, the donor, that less than 20 percent of your donation goes towards administration and advertizing /operating costs.
We are happy to let you know that we are the only charity where currently less than 7 percent of your donation goes towards administration
(this 7 percent runs our pograms in Zambia, all American administrators are volunteers) and the ZSF founders pay for all advertizing costs.
Any charity wishing to be concidered for this program must meet certain criteria. Application procedures include a 20-page application form, including 15 separate attachments with many regulations. An audited financial statement by an approved auditor recognized by the United States Government or IRS and a total investigation performed by the CFC. These regulations are much needed as there are many charity administrators who make more than the average person. And many charities where only 20 percent of your dontaion goes to the cause.
Be careful, check into a charities administration and operating costs before you donate.
Or to be safe and cut down on the time it takes to check into a charity; only donate to charities listed in the CFC's Brochure (there are over 2,000 charities listed and over a million charities out there.)
You can look at their brochure at any Federal Employed Office.
Locally we have Hill Air Force Base and the Ogden Office of the IRS.
or if you would like to find us in the brochure, Click on the View PDF listed above (you can find our approval by the CFC and our charity number).
