Brad Mclaws and his son Jacob went to Zambia with the Zambia's Scholarship Fund in March of 2006. They were two of eight volunteers. They hauled camera equipment through all kinds of obstacles only to come up with amazing interviews of high school students talking to their sponsors, college students talking to their sponsors, elementary school teachers sitting inside their make shift class rooms, rain water seeping through the cracks and talking about the intolerable conditions at their school.
Children and adults alike will be moved when they see eagar school children sitting on rocks instead of chairs, on dirt instead of proper flooring, learning with out a single picture on the wall, with no glass in their windows, hot, stuffy, dusty but happy because they have a teacher to teach them. They will see children of all ages cramed into one room with only a chalk board for their teacher to teach with. Then witness the arrival of text books for the first time . . .
