We are excited to share our new DVD with you!  This free documentary was made by Jacob McLaws, a senior at Park City High School, Park City, UT. The message is powerful; it’s guaranteed to capture the heart of every member of your family. Jacob integrates compassion with humor in a way that both children and adults can relate to his message. By making this DVD, Jacob has made a wonderful contribution to the children in Northern Zambia and he has not received a dime for his hard work.

You will see that in the Northern Province of Zambia the statistics are shocking; 81 % illiteracy, 36 year life expectancy, 92 % unemployment and in the entire country only 8 % of all Zambian children have an opportunity to attend high school.

After you watch the DVD, there is a section called Ways You Can Help. Listed are several suggestions of how to help no matter what your family’s financial situation is.

This year the Zambia’s Scholarship Fund invites you to try something different for birthdays:

Some of our families decided not to give gifts but rather use the money normally spent on a  gift  to sponsor a high school or college student. Some even sponsored a teacher for an elementary school in Zambia. When they shared with us the feelings of true compassion and anticipation they experienced, we wanted to share the idea with you.

Once your family raises enough money to sponsor a student ($240.00 for a high school student or $360.00 for a college student), we will send you a picture and the application form that was submitted by the student.  After that, your student will send a Thank You letter to your family; thus begins the fun exchange of letters between your student and your family members.

In Zambia, children must leave their villages and move to a town to attend high school. Therefore, high school is not free. Your money pays for their board and room, fees, and uniform. You are helping to change the lives of a student and his/her family in a country where only eight percent are able to attend high school.

It’s fun and rewarding to adopt a new member into your family. Most students in Zambia are orphans so they will consider you their American family.

We encourage you to consider giving this special gift—it is guaranteed to change a life.
IF this sounds like something your family would like to do; contact any of our staff listed in the contact us menu, send us your mailing address, and we will send you a copy of our DVD absolutely free!

May we take this moment to thank you and express our love for each of you!
